Due to major scheduling conflicts, the BackPack Buddies Charity Bike Ride planned for September 18 was postponed. The Rolesville Chamber of Commerce event will be rescheduled in the spring of 2011.

A timely $2,000 donation from BB&T is helping to fund the program in the meantime.

BackPack Buddies is a program that collects nonperishable food to be sent home from school with poor children in Wake County.

The Rolesville Education Committee has prepared and placed several new collection boxes throughout local businesses and schools. All food and monetary donations are welcome.
