Community Business Expo is Coming to Town

The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up to host its 2010 Business Expo. The event will take place on Monday, October 25, from 3 to 7 p.m. at The Factory in Wake Forest and is expected to draw a big crowd. In fact, according to the Chamber’s Katherine Anderson, the Chamber is advertising on television to get the word out, and is expecting more than 2,000 people to attend this year’s much anticipated event.

The event, whose grand sponsor is CenturyLink, will be a great way to bring members of the community and local businesses together so the general public can get to know the people behind the businesses and the services they offer. It’s these businesses that depend on the people of the Wake Forest/Rolesville/Youngsville/North Raleigh areas to succeed, and the Expo provides the link for just that. As many know, using locally owned services and businesses is not just good for the business, but good for consumers as well, because of the added income to the area’s tax base.

This year, according to Anderson, the Chamber of Commerce will launch a new website, which will be more user friendly and interactive – the URL, which is below, will stay the same. Another launch from the Chamber will be a Smart Phone app that will have the Chamber’s member directory right at your fingertips. Wake Forest is one of only four chambers in the state that have this application.

The Expo will also have its fair share of food samples from nine local restaurants, as well as a number of giveaways by participating businesses. At press time, there were around 70 businesses signed up to participate, but there were still 13 premier booths available to give your business maximum visibility and exposure.

The last day to register for a booth is October 19, and in order to register, you must be a Chamber member. There are also some sponsorship opportunities still available.
