Rolesville Hot Pick'n Finger Lick'n BBQ & Bands

Save the Date! Come Hungry!  It’s time to get your BBQ taste buds ready for the 6th Annual Hot Pick’n Finger Lick’n BBQ & Bands Festival and Competition which takes place on Saturday, September 12th from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. in Rolesville, NC.

This is your chance to taste great BBQ chicken and ribs while over 20 teams vie for the trophies in the chicken, ribs, and whole hog BBQ competitions. Top winners will be eligible to compete in the state contest in October.

Festival-goers will be able to buy a ticket that allows them to taste 10 meats from competitors of their own choosing and vote for the People’s Choice award recipient.

According to Sherwood Bobbitt, Chairman of the Chamber Board of Directors, “One of the great things about being able to taste up to 10 different teams’ barbecue is that it gives the opportunity to truly taste the different styles in cooking.”

This family-friendly day of food, fun, and entertainment includes activities and inflatables for the kids, including a rock wall, laser tag, games of skill, and bounce houses.

Music will be provided by four (4) bands headlined by the Whiskey River Band. An array of vendors will offer a unique shopping opportunity.

The event will be held at Redford Place Drive, just off the intersection of Rogers Road and Main Street (Business 401) by the Rolesville ball fields.

Pre-sales of plates has begun at a $1 discount per plate of the regular prices. One-meat (event day price $10) and two-meat (event day price$12) plates, including two sides and a soft drink, are available. A hot dog, chips, and a soft drink combo will be available for $5.
