Area students graduate from Barton College

Barton College in Wilson awarded diplomas to 257 seniors during the school’s 113th annual commencement exercises on May 17.

Participating in the ceremony were Barton students who completed their baccalaureate degree requirements in December 2014 and May 2015, and baccalaureate candidates who expect to fulfill requirements over the summer.

Graduates from the Rolesville-Wake Forest area are listed below by their hometowns. Their names are followed by degrees and majors and, where applicable, honors in parentheses. Graduates obtaining a grade point average of 3.90 or higher are graduated summa cum laude; 3.60 or higher, magna cum laude; and 3.30 or higher, cum laude.

Barton Announces President’s List and Dean’s List for 2015 Spring Semester

Barton College named 81 students to the President’s List and 309 students to the Dean’s List for spring semester 2015. President’s List students compiled a perfect 4.0 grade point average; Dean’s List students achieved a grade point average of 3.3 or better on a four-point scale.
