Open Door Furniture and Accents, Wake Forest’s first furniture store, has opened at 1600 Heritage Commerce Ct., Suite 104, in Wake Forest. Owner Rhonda Young Tilley has worked in design for 20 years and also owns a design store next door called Help Me Rhonda Interiors, open since May 2012. Dave and Sue Lucey of Page 158 Books have announced the launch of a new website at www.page158books.com and a new location when their lease at 158 S. White St. ends on April 30. The new website features online ordering, wish lists, pre-order of new books and information about coming events. The physical store will move to as-yet-undetermined temporary digs until upfit is complete on a sparkly new space in the Renaissance Center near Brooks Street Bowling. “Buying the space gives us the stability and predictability that we need as a small business and ensures we’ll be a part of the downtown community for a long time,” according to an official statement on the store’s Facebook page. Sprouts Farmers Market grocery store opened March 15 at 9414 Falls of Neuse Road. The specialty grocery store is designed to resemble an old-fashioned farmers market. Sports Clips opened at 1040 Forestville Road on March 7. This latest of 1,600 locations nationwide offers haircut services, stylists who specialize in hair care for men and boys and stay up to date on trends, and large flat-screen televisions playing sports programming at each haircut station and in the lobby. Monapita Mediterranean Grill will be moving into the old Euro Café location at 2101 S. Main St., Wake Forest, in April. This is the second Monapita location for owner Kal Cheko, who also owns a store at 5260 Capital Blvd. Cheko plans to conduct a soft opening for the restaurant, which features authentic Mediterranean food including shawarmas, kabobs and gyros. Catering will be available for business events, private parties and meetings. Hours of operation will be announced closer to opening, though the Capital Boulevard store is open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Med First Urgent Care and Family Practice will be opening a new location at 102 Southtown Circle in Rolesville in April. The practice has 17 other locations throughout North Carolina, many in coastal locations.
