Where are you from? “I’m from the Congo in Africa. I was born over there. I’ve been over here [in the U.S.] for just eight months. This is my first year at Rolesville High School.”

Hobbies / Interests: “In school, I like to study and learn everything I can. Out of school, I like to spend time with my family and work at home.

Plans After Graduation: “After my graduation, I need to go to college to finish my education. I want to go for public health. I want to be a man who can help everybody who needs help. If I have money, I can bring help to people who have none. I know in my future I want to be a basketball player as well. When I make a lot of money, I can not only help me but other people too.

Long-Term Goals: “After school, I want to get a job. After one, or two years, I don’t know. … I can have my wife live with me, and we can start a family.

Any people or things that have had a major influence in your life: “Studying is part of my life, but basketball is also part of my life. Right now, I’m focused just on finishing school. At the same time, too, I play basketball at Rolesville. If I go to the NBA to play basketball, I have to finish your school all the way, and I need to learn something about this life.”
