Hobbies / Interests? “Over the summer I started flying planes. My first lesson was in July of last year, and it’s something that sparked my interest. My grandfather flew helicopters for the Navy in the Vietnam War, so that made me really interested in helicopters, but when I actually flew the plane, it was a really good fit for me.”

Plans After Graduation? “I got accepted to Alabama and NC State, so I’ll be attending either one of those for aerospace engineering, but if I wind up not liking it, I may go into the medical field for pediatric anesthesiology.”

Long-Term Goals?  “I just want to be successful and happy in whatever I do. My main priority is happiness, wherever I end up.”

People or Things That Have Had Major Influence in Your Life?  “My grandparents are a huge influence on me. They both had nine-to-five government jobs working for the DHS and the TSA. My mom has also had a big impact on me. We were both diagnosed with Crohn’s disease, but it impacted her far worse than it impacted me. When that happened, I decided that I wanted to do all I could to help my mother stay healthy and happy, and that inspired me to bring about my healthiness and happiness.”
