Hobbies / Interests?  “I’m president of the FCCLA (Family, Career and Community Leaders of America). Recently, we had a Christmas party where we wrapped gifts for a family that couldn’t afford gifts for their kids this year, so we brought stuff in and wrapped them that afternoon and evening. Outside of school, I’m trying to get more involved in church.”

Plans After Graduation?  “I want to continue my education. I’m hoping to go to UNC Greensboro. My acceptance letter should be coming in soon, I hope! I want to major in biology, and I want to be a general medical practitioner when I grow up. I want to help people. That’s something I really want to do with my life.”

Long-Term Goals?  “I don’t know – I want the perfect movie life, if I’m going to be completely honest! A nice car and house and be established. To sum it all up, I want that. During that, I’d also love to travel a lot and go to different countries. Maybe hopefully go on missionary trips first in the U.S. and then to other countries.”

People or Things That Have Had a Major Influence in Your Life?  “When I was really young, I wanted to be an eye doctor. I wanted to be an eye doctor because my brother doesn’t have great vision in one of his eyes. So, that inspired me to want to help people solve problems or help people live with a disability that doesn’t allow people to achieve all that they can.”
