Rolesville Middle School RamsHello, readers, and welcome to the “What’s Buzzin’ at RMS” column. This monthly column will highlight news and celebrations going on at Rolesville Middle School. Let’s get started!

Eighth grade students will celebrate their transition to high school with “Stepping Up with Class” ceremonies. This is the first class of students since the school opened who have been at RMS all through middle school. The ceremony for track 1 is June 2; track 2 is June 26; track 3 is June 20 and track 4 is June 30. All ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. Students will receive certificates and have the chance to socialize with friends and parents.

RMS will host schedule pickup for families from 1 to 4 p.m. on July 1 for tracks 1, 2 and 3. This is an opportunity for students and families to pick up their schedules and buy school materials. Families are encouraged to by gym uniforms, school agendas and locks in advance of schedule pickup. Parents can go online (www.rolesvillems.wcpss.net) and click under the “parents” tab to make online payments. Parents should bring receipts to schedule pickup.  The first day of school is July 7 for tracks 1, 2, and 3. Schedule pickup will be from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on July 23 for track 4. The first day of school for track 4 is July 27.

Congratulations to the Rolesville Middle School band. These students will be play at the Mudcats baseball game in Zebulon on July 1.
